Okay: this contest may seem a bit different than what you're used to. I've already come up with the lineart. My challenge for you is to color it. Whatever colors you like. And I'm sorry if the quality's a little low on the lineart... I'm using a webcam as a scanner, and there's a reason webcams aren't called scanners.

Sounds kinda arrogant of me, eh? Making you just color one of my pics for me. Truth is, I'm completely out on inspiration for her, and I really want a cool design. For everyone who bothers to try, I'll draw them something. It'll be simple, since I have enough jobs as it is at the moment. But the winner, as stated below, gets an upgraded gift.

Okay, so I was going to be all cool and write novels. But knowing me and knowing what's coming up for me, I know I won't get around to it for at least another ten-twenty years D8

In case anyone is so great of a friend as to be wondering what the heck I'm doing over here, it is NOT a case of art block. Quite the opposite. I'm so possessed by this demon of perfection that I can't work on any other picture until I have this one completely perfect.

It doesn't help that I'm trying to make an awesome background when -aside from sticking a moon very cleverly in one pic- I have made only horrible backgrounds to date. Not to mention never really working with the concept of crystal.

So yeah.

Oh, a soon-to-be Deviant who will probably sign up as Kitsune-Warren did the lineart... for the main image only. Has no idea that I'm killing myself over the background.

If anyone has any tips concerning a shadowy cave sort of crystal, and/or smooth crystal, cool.

I am a self-taught artist. If I like something, I tend to want to learn it myself, so I never worked well with art teachers, who all wanted to teach me their styles. I'm also very thoughtful about pretty much everything, and I absolutely LOVE to discuss things with people, and since I live with my brothers, we get into what our parents call arguments. Okay, so not all of them are particularly philosophical or even relevant in any way in our lives, but so what? We love it.

I'm probably dominantly philosophical, which some people might say is strange, since the next layer is highly religious. But Christian Science (if you don't know what it is, let me know and I'll tell you) is philosophical in its own right, as well.

But before you judge me for those things, my motto is "Don't worry about it. Just have fun."

I don't mean get in trouble later. Just enjoy what life gives you, no matter what it is.

I ADORE dragons. Probably because they're just whatever I want them to be. But the ability to fly... man, I wish I could. If I could change into anything in the world, it would be Shadowtayl, the Kaifé. So yeah. That's pretty much it...

And that's so like me. Randomly coming to a stop. XD
